Meet Essence Lynn Wilson, ABD!

Being an applied scientist has been a delightful and ever-evolving journey. I uplift equitable health research using digital participatory practices and champion equity and inclusive pedagogical practices. I possess a unique interest in animation for health promotion. Right now, I am developing an evidence-based short film alongside fantastic community partners that discusses the mental health experiences of Black youth. Whether for research purposes or as a faculty leader, traveling inspires my creativity, transforming global stories into exciting research chapters. I do not do it alone, taking my little Rottie on each, new adventure.
